Hey guys. Iv always been a fan of anything old and retro. The Airstream is the best of both worlds! I was browing my local classified newspaper and, wouldnt ya know it, an Airstream is in there! Its a 1973 Overlander, 27 footer, in "good condition". Asking $5800 obo. Does it seem like a good price? And what do you guys think about Airstreams (as in towing ability, comfort, looks, etc). Thanks guys!
I think they're cool, but the older ones have a crap short tongue on them- if you aren't paying attention in a turn, you could put a bumper into that shiny skin pretty easy.
If the interiors pristine and all systems work - that's fine !
if NO interior or the guts are hanging down - not so fine...
the right price is what YOU think is a fair price... make it a business decision, not an emotional one... because that "new car smell novelty" disappears after that first payment
We have sold em off the dealer lot for as low as $5,000 with new awning, new fridge, and everything working. The trick is finding someone who wants one. A lot of folks are not interested. As I said, it draws a different crowd.
