78 engine swap

Im in the process of putting a 89 302 ho in my 78 f-150 was wondering if the manual fuel pump would work after swapping timing covers

i did this swap also. it will work, but you need the fuel pump cam also. its a small piece that bolts on to the end of the camshaft. mudder trucker.

78 engine swap

Most EFI small blocks still had the fuel pump eccentric on the cam, even if there was no hole for the fuel pump in the timing cover.
