Installing an amp

The previous owner installed an Alpine CDE102 head unit, a pair of S Series Alpine front and rear speakers. At one time, he had also installed a power amp but he removed it and left all the wiring in case I wanted to install one myself. I've never done this before so I need a little help.

He ran a heavy gauged red wire to the battery (it's disconnected) and it goes to the rear of the truck underneath the back seat. It looks like he has it connected to a fuse inside a small housing and on the other end it has a connector. There are also some wires with the sleeved male connectors (rca jacks?) that I assume connect to the amp. Do the amps come with everything I need to hook up to my head unit and how big of an amp shoud I get? I like my music loud but don't want to blow the windows out of my truck. lol

I'll take some pics of all the wires and such and post it later today.

Ak the heavy gauge red wire connector goes into the 12V spot in the amp, then the RCA's should go from the head unit to the amp as well.

you'll also need a "remote starter" wire that ussualy comes from the head unit as well and goes into the amp in the "rem" spot.

The amp should have a "gnd" spot too that's ground and you should connect it to de body of the truck.

Finally you'll just need to wire your speakers with wires that goes from your amp outputs to all four of them speakers in the doors...
