Not much, just make sure you keep the radiator cap ON. Get all your lines installed and pre-wrap the fitting that goes in the pump with teflon tape. When you pull the plug out, thread the new fitting in quickly and keep your finger on the opening. Once its snug, push the line on and then snug the fitting with a wrench.

I am a little late on this but you could always drain the radiator into a clean container then fill it back up once you get everything hooked up.

I installed a valve on both sides of the coolant filter to minimize the lose of coolant when changing the filter - just a suggestion.

Ya I was gona do the valves too but will probably do that after the first filter change. Got a question about that too couldn't you just install a valve on the side going to the water pump and shut that valve and leave the truck tuning to clear the line out going to the degass bottle or does it not work that way? Wasn't sure if the system is negative or posative.

Mine is installed in the heater hose so I just pinch the hose off with a vice grips on one line and I have a radiator hose clamp I use on the other line.

Well got that done went pretty easy only problem I had was had to keep shimming up the bracket so the hose clamp wasn't touching the upper radiator hose other than that pretty easy. I did what you said Gonzo thanks. I had a five gallon water jug laying around so drained the radiator into that. Thanks again guys now to figure out the A/C
