Two Questions . . .

First, I printed out the window sticker for my truck after reading the thread on VIN info and the link that directed to a site for printing said sticker. My sticker says I have the tire pressure monitoring system. I've looked through the vehicle info tons of times and I do not have an option that tells me what the current tire pressure is. I've seen the warning light for tire pressure in my cousin's Expedition which is a few years older than my truck (I have an '11 F-150). How exactly does the system work? Does rotating the tires mess with it? How about changing tires?

Second, what is the significance of the rear end ratios I've been reading so much about. My sticker says the rear is 3.55 regular axle.

the tire pressure monitor system still only turns a light on in the cluster, does not tell pressure, as far as rotating tires, my wifes focus does not turn the light on when rotated, so I dont have to reprogram anything or make the monitor relearn tire positions, as far as changing tiresthe sensor is in the wheel, changing tires should not matter. the significance of the 3.55 gear depends on how much you want to tow and which engine you have, with either the ecoboost or the 5 liter you will have a good mix of performance, towing ability and fuel economy, probably a great all around gear ratio unless you want to put on very tall rubber.

My 08 has the tire pressure monitoring system and as long as the tires are at the correct pressure + or - a percentage (i dont know) the system works fine. If you rotate tires there is no problem. If you change rims you will get the light on the dash. Also make sure you take it to a reputable place to get your tires changed as if they screw up the sensor or band then you will need to get new sensors or bands. Bands are about 30 to 50 bucks from what ive been told. sensors are about 10 to 200.

I am asking this question twice in two different threads I realize but how do I know if I actually have that system for tire pressure on my truck? Is it pretty much standard for the 2011 models?
