My 2001 Ford E350 starts but will not idle, it acts like it wants to cut off. What is the problem?

 

just a guess but fuel fillters or fuel pump?

 

can you give more details? can you drive it ,what does it do when you put it in gear??the more detail the better chance one of the super great dudes on hear can point ya in the right deriction. i am mechanicly hamperd but with the help of this fourm i am doing my own mechanic work now..lol...

 

If I dont put my foot on accelerator it dies, I have to put my foot on accelerator, hold the brake, then put in gear. once you start driving it works good.

Get the codes pulled. Sounds sorta like an IAC issue. Take it to autozone and have them plug in their code scanner, should be free. It will at lest let you know where the computer thinks there are issues.

Once you get the computer codes, dont just go and replace parts. You will need to do diagnostics.
