3rd member Temp?
Just drove 600 miles to Knoxville TN and checked the temp on the 3rd member with my hand and it was pretty hot to the touch. Is this normal after a drive if this length?

Reason for the question and for checking the temp is I have a vibration coming from the rear end. Had u joints checked before we left and the vibration. I was told its a truck and they do that. Not a really bad vibration. Does it between 70-75. 02 7.3
