Around here that red punch we run in tractors is called "Farm Fuel." It is used for agricultural purposes here, as well as 'home heating oil.'
We run our tractors with farm fuel. Some (not me of course because it's illegal) have run it in trucks, new and old. Never had any problems. In fact, I've heard that it has additional lubricants to help tractors that run high rpm's for hours and hours.

You do realize they add the dye in the TANKER as its being readied for delivery. All diesel is held in the same storage tank and only given red dye as needed.
