Anyone have any experience/ feedback on a 770 carb? I have a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and a 770 street avenger for my 460. I will be dropping the motor back in my streetruck in the next week or so. I still haven't ran it with the new parts. Lots of guys run the 670. But I havn't heard much about the 770. Otherwise this motor is stock. Is this too much carb?....I guess I will soon find out.
I run the 870 Street Avenger/Edelbrock RPM intake on a modified 460. You should be fine with the 770.
Before the flames start about using 770cfm on a basically stock 460, I'm a big believer in at least 750cfm carbs on any 460. I've used a Holly 600cfm and a 625cfm Carter on 429/460s. There was no increase in gas mileage with the smaller carbs or better low rpm response and, when compared to various 750cfm carbs, they both died at over 4000rpm.
