A/C leak

what I have done so far:
checked around compressor, dryer, evaporator (took cover off checked well), and hoses going to and from each of these.
removed grill and checked condenser
Took sleeves off ac lines from front to back
disassembled everything around expansion valve
and still cant detect leak what gives???

Pinholes leaks can develop anywhere. Condensers coils, evaporator coils, around any port, tubing etc. Use a very soapy solution in a spray bottle and look for bubbles. If you are loosing four pounds of refrigerant in a week, it should be a noticeable leak.

sniffer did not work because there was less than a 1/4lb of refrigerant-not enough pressure i suppose.
friend that does HVAC came over and put 200lb's of dry nitrogen in system. turns out the compressor has a hiss toward the front where the pulley is. we sprayed everything with soap and still no bubbles, and still can't find any dye.
getting new compressor tomorrow.
