replacing my rear
i got a 98 f150 8.8 3.55 well it decided to quit i dont have a pot to **** in or a window to throw it out. n every junk yard think there sellin gold the cheapest i found with in a 50 mile radius is 650 well i found a rear out of a 93 same gears 8.8 my question is will it work if not ill bit it and spend the loot but for a 150 n down the street from me can it word its out of a 93 f150 if anyone can help i dont think it will but hoping it will thanks

I would guess (and only a guess) that the full housing would be different but the gear set would be the same. You don't mention what's given up but if it's the spider gears or ring/pinion you might try double checking part numbers for sub-components like bearings and seals at rockauto or ringpinion.com to prove they're the same.
8.8 31 spline has been stable for a very long time. On the other hand not even the wheels are the same from OBS to new.
