Another tire wheel question
Hi folks, does anyone know right off what the width of the stock wheels are on a 65 shortbed? Also what width tires fit them. I want to lower the front just a bit using tire size. Can I go with say a 225 70 on the front and maybe a 245 60 on the rear. If this won't work I do have some later model 7" wide aluminums I can use. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

Stock 15" wheels are most like 5.5 to 6 inches wide. The 225/70R-15 is OK but the 245/60R-15 should be on a 7", I would actually run at least a 255/60R-15 (also 7" wheel). I actually run a 275/60R-15 on a 15X8. The 275/60R-15 is a little closer to OE height.
