I have a '95 F-350 Quad Cab 4x4. I just bought the Diablo 50 & 78 chip, and now need to get guages for it. I know that I want the tranny and pyro, but what about the Boost? And if so do I want the 0-30 lb. or the 0-60 lb? Any suggestions where to buy these from?
Thanks,
Aaron
Boost gauges help you get optimal mileage once you learn to read them well. 0-30 should be plenty for a Powerstroke! Give us a call, 770-806-1955. As with all purchases made through MotorHaven, it supports the operation of this web site.
I bought one of the big stacked plate tranny coolers so personally I don't need to have a tranny guage.
I bought a combination boost/pyro gauge all in one unit, put it on a single pod A-pillar mount. Looks clean with a single gauge. I bought mine prior to this site carrying gauges.
I have done a lot of browsing and have not run into a combination pyro/boost gauge. Who makes it/where did you find it? (Don't worry Ken, my next step is to look though Motorhaven's store.)
Also, my '02 has a tranny temp gauge in it. I covered this once with Ken, but does anyone else have a comment on the factory gauges accuracy. For some reason, I am trying to remember having heard they are not that accurate. Ken's comment was that they were OK.
BR10415, there's the "Turbocater" model R609 made by ISSPRO, and a 2-inch and a 3-inch made by Westach. I've also seen digital combo gauges but I can't remember any names right now...

A digital 3 in 1 gauge (pyro, boost, and trans) is the X-monitor by BD-Power. People like them because they take up less space, can have alarms set, and I think that they have a memory of the highest reading......not 100% sure since I don't have one.
I have heard that by the time the factory trans gauge reads hot it is really hot. Some guys over at the dieselstop.com who have the factory gauge and an aftermarket gauge said that the factory doesn't read hot until 220-230* ......and that it will go back to reading normal when it is still around 200*if I remember correctly.
If this site doesn't carry them you can check genosgarage.com . Westach makes one, not sure if the others do. You can give them a buzz, they are pretty good to work with.
