Can anybody give me info on this engine. I've read the left bank is different than the right bank. I pulled one plug from the left bank and it was a Motorcraft AGSF 32N thats the only one I pulled at the time. I'm wanting to know what would be the best plug for this engine that I could possibly put in both banks. Iridium or double platinum or something different. I'm having some studdering issues going down the road and was thinking about changing them out. I just bought the truck about a month ago. Thanks for any info anyone could give me.
Replace them with either the same Motorcraft number than came out (or its current interchange number), or use an Autolite APP104 double platinum plug. You can also use an Autolite XP104, which is iridium.
Go to the Motorcraft web site & enter your vehicles particulars & look up the latest specification Motorcraft plug for your flex fuel engine. If you use E-85, you'll want to be mindful to use the specified heat range plug that Ford spcifies, as the vehicles fuel sensor has the computer adjust the air/fuel ratio for the amount/% of Ethanol the fuel contains, so sprak plug heat range is important for your flex fuel set up.
IMO the correct heat range finewire iridium enhanced center electrode plug is a good investment, as its spark gap will remain in spec longer & the finewire center electrode will likely offer up quicker year round starts, at least it has for my vehicles & the spark gap is remaining in spec longer too.
It's said that Ford has Autolite build its Motorcraft plugs & Autolite has a good rebate going on their finewire plugs if you choose to cross reference them.
