blew a plug what now

well i finally blew a plug out and destroyed the threads, so im having my trusted mechanic pull the heads and 2 reman's put back in $1,400.00.
so what i was wondering what can be done to the heads to get better anything out of the 2v head? ie port polished, port matched is any of this even worth it or been proven to do anything for these 2v v-10's? one last question can you swap the 2v to a 3v head with out any mods?

Why not just TimeSert them to repair them?

yea why pull both heads, when you can repair teh blown plug hole in teh truck..

seems like overkill.

but as far as performance gains, i doubt you will see any noticable gains from porting the 2V heads.. personaly i wouldnt waste the money on it..

no you cant simply install 3V heads...

I was surprised you were going to pull the heads when the fix is a kit away. Curious as to why he shouldn't port the heads?

I am wondering the same thing. I see mustang guys porting the 2v pi heads and they seem to think it makes a difference. I just wonder what effect it would have with us in a truck.
