>I found a short that was bringing the computer voltage down, when the truck was turned off. Prior to finding the short, all of my monitors would show as incomplete, at power-up. Now, after fixing the short, some of the monitors show as complete, but 4 monitors show as incomplete at power-up (Catalyst monitor, Oxygen sensor monitor, Oxygen sensor heater and EGR monitor).<o

>If I drive the truck about 10 miles (complete a ”drive cycle”) , all of the monitors show as complete and the P1000 goes away. After I turn the power off for about 15 seconds, the same 4 monitors show as incomplete when the truck is turned back on (the P1000 comes back).
Is this a matter of completing many drive cycles to make this issue go away?<o

First it sounds like a fuse is out for the PCM memory.
This will reboot the PCM into diagnostics everytime you start the truck and cause all diagnostics to be re-run and setting the 1000 code until all monitors pass.
Second, the EVAP system may take much longer than a 10 mile drive cycle.
I don't know what that model has for EVAP so if it's the last to be tested and clear, that is why.
Good luck, let us know what you found.
