I am having the head gaskets and studs done. I was thinking about doing the injectors at the same time.
What is the opinion for this and what does everyone else run. I do pull a camper. Roughly 8k. I am having striction with my stock injectors so now is the time to replace. What do you guys recommend?
either stock or cass for injectors. 155cc is a good option if you want ot stay close to stock.
also keep in mind bigger sticks equal bigger fuel requirments.
What is the blue spring mod as well? And is it worth it?
I want to get the most from my truck. As I am in a wheelchair I am paying someone else to do the work for me and want to make sure I am getting the most done so I am not paying for the labor twice. Also this truck the only vehicle I have so maximizing down time is important to me.
I'm with Bud, I wouldn't replace 'em if there's nothing wrong with the ones in your engine now. Even if they go down in two months it's not that big of a deal to replace 'em if your using a competent mechanic. Takes me about 45 minutes to get to them on either side....and I'm no professional PSD wrench spinner.

It goes in the fuel regulator to help maintain 60-65 psi at the injectors. Fuel pressure below 45 psi will cause internal damage to the injectors and shorten their service life. Is it worth it? Well it cost $30 through RiffRaff:
And it takes maybe 30 minutes to install. A single injector will cost you $220 to replace and that's minus the core/shipping charges. I would measure the fuel pressure (at the test port on the side of the secondary filter housing) to see what your fuel pressure is. If your maintaining 60psi at all times...even at wide open throttle (WOT) then I wouldn't worry about. But if your pressure drops into the low 50's...I'd do it in a heart beat.
FWIW, an injector costs $1K to change, one at a time, at a Ford dealer, I have the receipts to prove that little debacle. Blue spring is a must-do, not an option, it will cause injector issues if the fuel pressure is low. How do you tell if you have stiction? What are the symptoms?
If someone doesn't answer your question and you get bored waiting, you can always search that term here in this forum and I'm sure you'll get a ton of reading.

$1k is a steep price for one injector. There is a local independent shop that quoted me a price of about $400 for one injector.

Replaced injectors #1 and #5 seperately on a Buddy's '07 F350. If you lived closer to me, I'd help you diagnose and if need be replace the injector(s) free of charge.
You can get them at a reasonable cost from Clay at Riffraff, he carries Ryan Casserly's injectors and has myself and others the times an injector was needed.
I was 500 miles into a 1,000 mile trip and lost an injector. Truck would not run for more than three or four minutes, towed to the closest Ford dealer, $1100 for #1 injector and o-rings on the passenger side injectors. Drove another 100 miles, lost #5 injector, $950 at the nearest Ford dealer to replace that injector. Drove another 50 miles, lost another injector, gave up, truck transported back to selling dealer (I had only owned it for 2 weeks), #3 injector had failed. Full power pressure tester showed 42 psi fuel pressure, all 8 injectors changed, HFCM changed, blue spring added, all at the dealers cost. Dealer charge around $1K to change one injector, and if you are 500 miles from home on a trip, it's hard to shop around and argue about it.
guys how long it taks us to change apart has no bearing on the labor that is charged.
book time is aprox 4 hours a side + diag and the part wich iirc list is about $280. so depending on were your at window rates, taxable item and shop supplies will all add up.
you all may think its theft but noone ever says hey it took you guys longer so let me pay more.
