6-1 Gear Lights?
So my 2012 is about a week old. Today while driving, I notice that the gear position light up display above the normal PRNDM21 is lit up displaying what gear I am in (even though I am not in manual mode). I'm wondering if that is normal and if so, why has it not been lit up for the past week? I would have definitely noticed it if it was, as I have put over 1K miles on it running hay over the past week. Even have driven in the dark when it would be obvious.

In conjuction to what RobFlag stated, the + and - buttons in the automatic shift lever turns the 1-6 gear display on and off. Also, when in auto mode if you push the - button it will lock out gears. For example if you are in 6th gear and push the minus button, the truck will down shift to 5th gear and that will be your top gear. If you push it again it will downshift to 4th and that becomes your top gear. It will still upshift and downshift automatically, but it will only go up to the highest gear on the display.
