Steering column loose!

Steering column loose!
Wondering if anyone has delt with this before.... Got a buddys 2001 F-250 2wd 5.4 that I do all the work on and the steering wheel is all loosy goosy at the top of the column. Any fixes for this short of replacing the column? Can get one from the boneyard for $200 bucks. He plans on keeping the truck only till the end of summer if that matters. Thanks in advance guys!
