airbag light

My air bag light just came on could i hook up a scanner to see what the problem is or could it be a simple fix.

Might be worth checking to see if the passenger side airbag light is working. Most of the time that bulb blows and turns on the light in your cluster.

My air bag light came on last month, turned out the kid was unhooking the connectors under the seat. It's strange being relieved and angry at the same time.

You can try to see if codes for the airbag light. Most of the chain auto parts stores will do this for free. Don't be shocked if it comes up as no codes. Some codes are manufacture specific and are not shown with the generic OBD II readers. Worth a shot though.

You should get the light to flash when your first turn the key to the on position. Count the number of flashes... there will be a slight pause between numbers.

ex. flash flash flash... flash flash = code 32
