dash and park lights flashing fix
When I started my '06 f150 today, the dash and park lights were flashing when the headlights were off. Relay 201 was making noise like a flasher, only faster. It did not help when I pulled the relay. The lights still flashed. I asked a mechanic friend and he said to D/C the Neg battery cable, wait a couple of minutes then reconnect. I did and it worked. I guess it reset something. Just wanted to pass this along. I did not find any info on this problem when I searched.

Thank you for the suggested fix. The same thing happened to me this morning. I experienced the parking and dash lights pulsing and relay 201 was clicking. The symptoms stopped when the parking lights, headlights or hazards were activated and the condition existed even when the truck was not running. I also observed the third brake light glowing dimly and the body control module (I think) was clicking. Disconnecting the battery for a short time cleared the problem. Thanks again!

My 2011 F150 ecoboost wont start because the park indicator is not lit when it is in park.
after fiddling around it eventually lights but flickers from time to time.
Took it to Ford and they found that the "lead sensor" in the transmission is failing.
it's a $800 repair because the switch is deep inside the transmission.
The lead switch is what tells the computer what gear the transmission is in.
If it is not reporting, the computer will not allow you to start the engine.
do i have a problem with this? No.
the truck has 108,000 miles on it, it's 13 years old, I tow a 5th wheel, and this is it's 1st problem.
