Lots of stuff comes into Play with your drivability concern Sensors or Turbo Plumbing or Leaks just lots of diffrent things
You need a ScanGaugeII at the Minimum this Will see all engine sensors and will show some DTC but not all and definatly NO WRENCH Codes but with seeing all engine sensors we might be able to figure it out without seeing DTC being able to see DTC is a Bonus though
or AE with the Ford Bundle this one is going to be the only one of these 2 scanners thats going to read the wrench code and all CEL DTC
With your condition you describe and a wrench light It could be the case you have a couple diffrent problems
Turbo issue normally sets a CEL cause emmissions relaited IIRC
A wrench light might be a Plugged Oil Cooler
Is the AfterMarket air filter Clean???? if you can go back with OEM Air Filter its the Best
when was last oil change did you use OEM Filters and Cap
How about Fuel Filters????
yea i plan to take to my buddys shop tommorow he owns a diesel shop to run the scanner on it ..oil was chnged a lil over a month ago and i dont know what the caps are on these trucks this is my first truck always owned mustangs , the drop in should be clean but im more than likley gonna switch back to stock filter asap .. appreciate the info will relay to my buddy !

A lot of times troubles like you describe are caused by a leak in the high pressure oil system. The STC fitting could be a likely culprit. If the dealer flashed the computer while it was there, the latest software monitors coolant and oil temp an defuels the truck if the difference gets too high. It will also defuel if it over boosts from a sticking turbo. If the oil was changed at a dealership the oil cap isn't a likely problem. possible fuel problem. Could try fresh filters and an updated " blue spring" in the pressure regulator. Both a good idea even if it doesn't fix the problem.
Do you have any gauges or a code scanner? If it turned on the wrench light ther is likely a code set (unless batteries are disconnected). That would get you started in the right direction. AutoZone or one of the chain parts stores will often scan for free. If you plan on keeping the truck for awhile, I would reccommend a Scan Gauge II. It plugs in the OBDII port under the dash and displays pretty much all the sensors and actuators on the truck. About $160 and well worth it. another option is to get it diagnosed at the dealer, but it's hard to guess what the problem might be without more info.
