Looking for step tubes

I have seen step tubes on new 2012's on the dealer lot. They appear to be part of an XLT Chrome package that is added on from the factory. I would like to add them to my 2010 XLT Crew Cab. I haven't seen them on the Ford accessory page. They have separate pads on top for each door. Any one know the part number or size that they would be using?

My truck came with the chrome tubular bars with the separate pads for each door, and it doesn't have the chrome package. I looked at the Ford accessories site and found the part number below. Unfortunately, it appears they only used super cab trucks for the pictures. Here is the part number for the bars I believe you are looking for. Part No: 9L3Z-16450-EB

Thanks for the info. The photos for that part number show a one piece pad across the top, so I'll check with the stealer.

I just took delivery of a 2012 Crew Cab today that has the steps that you are looking for. I have something different in mind. Let me know if you are interested. Oh yea, they are a $695 option on the truck. Thanks

I found the ones in the previous post at a local dealer at just short of $500 installed. I'll be checking that tomorrow. Thanks for the offer.

I'd say you did good. I really like having the step bars on my truck. Makes it so much easier to get into. This truck seems to be a lot higher than my 2004 was.

I notice the step bar is held to the brackets with only 2 screws. Does anyone notice a rattle from them going down the road?

I do have a rattle when I go over bumps. The tube seems to bounce on top of the outside edge of the mounting bracket. Could I have missed something in the install? I hand tightened the screws and didn't use a torque wrench.

So, after checking at the stealer, I found that the instructions need to be modified. The bracket has 4 holes in it where the step sits and the instructions show to use the 2 closest to the truck. There are 2 holes in the step for just that purpose. The dealer had one screw in the hole closest to the truck and one screw in a hole away from the truck on the bracket. There is no hole in the step for this screw, so you must create one. I did this for both brackets on both sides and the rattle is gone.
