Sometimes you just have to run things a little longer. You could try disconnecting the plug for the cylinder that is knocking (I think its a rod) and don't pressure the engine. You very well may get another week or two out of it. If it tosses the rod then the motor is most likely ruined. The crank is most likely already ruined so I guess the worst that could happen is tossing the rod. Best of luck!

I just parked the beast bec i finished up fixing my 70 F250 4x4. It still runs and all but after hearing what COULD happen, I just decided to park it until i get the time to fix it right. Besides, I dont have the time right now to pull it out and rip it down. So, it looks like it will be sitting for quite some time!
