Folks,

My vehicle: 1998 Expedition, 5.4L, Eddie Bauer.

Prob: Clutch hub fell off compressor.

I can easily get a new clutch hub and bolt from Ford. They don't have shims.

Does anyone know where I can get some shims?

Ford should have them. Ask again.

 

I agree. they should.

Still, my dealer says no, they are "serviced" with the compressor. so also shows their parts blowup.

You and I both know this can't be the whole story. Surely some ford mechanic is monitoring us, and can provide some insight?

Perhaps someone knows a part number?
