Progress on my grandson's 56 project truck

I had a couple members asked how I was coming along on our project truck. So I decided to start a thread and post updates as we come along. I have many pictures in photobucket and I will put all update pictures on there, as well as posting key updates and their photos on here. Like I said before, I'm still learning how to use these forums and learning the proper way of posting pictures, so please bare with me. Thanks again for making this new member feel welcome.

That is coming along nicely! This'll be one of those life-long learning experiences for your grandson. They don't teach that in school anymore!!

Updated photobucket again. This past week we did more body work on the cab. We also sandblasted and painted the frame. I will post more pictures of the frame in the next few days. we had a pretty good storm so I wasn't able to get good pictures after painting the frame.

Well I was finally able to get a picture of the frame painted. We're slowly making progress but we are getting there. I decided to reattach the after sandblast photo and add the after paint photo to show the difference.

More update photos. I plan to do the brakes before reinstalling the bed.

I'm a Ford Man.
He is a GM man (he's got some nice car's, I'll admit it.)
He's got a 55' F100 with a sbc, and late model Chevy step side bed. So why not add the GM cab and rails. Then he'd have a Chevrolet truck.
I would never mix the species either.
