need some help - overdrive button blew something
Hey Guys (and Girls if any here), I have a problem with my 2004 F250 superduty. For some reason when you hit the overdrive button it blows a fuse and the dash stops working and the alternator stops working aswell. I run a landscape company and tell my guys not to hit the button and ofcourse one of them did and didn't tell me until the battery went dead. Normally I go through the fuses and replace but this time I can't find a blown fuse and can't figure out what it is. I charge the battery and works fine but than doesn't hold charge because alternator doesn't work.
Started happening years ago and someone on here told me about fuse and thats how I kept fixing it but can't find my thread and can't remember the fuse but all seem ok.
Anyone have same problem or can help?

Frayed/chafed/shorted wiring where it exits the shifter tube. Pretty common. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...fuse-45-a.html
