Miles don't worry, we have all made mistakes like this.
I have made them.
I once grabbed a loose spark plug wire of a running Jeep while standing in a puddle of water.
You only make a mistake like that once.
Can you drain the oil into a clean pan so you can reuse it ?
i have had my fair share of bad thinking while working on trucks i am going to try to barely loosen the oil filter and use a pick to try to pull the old seal out, then tighten it back up. but if that doesnt work ill just pull it off and do it the right way. yesterday i tried a new thing, loosen the oil filter and then use half a 2 liter bottle to put over it so oil doesnt drip down your arm and everywhere. worked beautifully,... until i dropped the 2 liter bottle lol
good evening. savages turned out to be a good movie, and i just watched contraband and that was good also
realized i f'd up my oil change wasnt thinking and didnt realize the old oil filter seal was stuck on the housing. was just looking at it and the filter isnt even close to the housing now...
Did that once on a ranger I used to own. Replaced filter added new oil started it and puked oil out. Two rubber oil filter seals don't seal twice as good. Together they only seal half as good . Now I check before new seal goes on
So this guy sold me this truck a little while ago, and I won't mention his name, but it rhymes with Gay Cro-Magnon. This truck was missing a front centercap. If any of you have a lead on a used 1999-2004 F-350 DRW front center cap, I would love to purchase one.
