Bad news, GF said truck has to go....(not a good day)

If the truck is paid for, and doesn't need work, why sell it, like was said already, it won't make a very big dent in the house building budget. I'd get rid of the Dodge, 98's certainly aren't rare, and if it has already needed "restoring" that should tell you something. It would be much easier to sell the Dodge since it can be financed and get more money for it towards the house. That's a nice F1, but I think you will be hard pressed to get $6K for it in this economy.

It will be a cold day in (you know where) before i sell my dodge
Im a die hard mopar guy.....i bought it when i was 15 and that thing will be buried with me.
Im trying to work it out to keep it......the reason i would sell it is b/c to run natural gas line is very expensive, if i sell it, I will have the money for the gas line to be run
im working on something now to keep it...hopefully it can happen!

Option 1.
Keep the truck, lose the GF, rent a house, work on anything you want. Be happy.
Option 2.
Keep the GF, lose the truck, buy a house, get told what to work on ( a lot ), then lose the GF and 1/2 of the house, now you have no house, no GF, no truck. Not happy!
Choose carefully! LOL!

A few weeks after I met my wife I took her to visit my F-2 in storage. She said at that point she realized I would never part with it. When I asked her to marry me before I popped the question I told her the truck will never, ever go away. I told her I had the truck way before I met her. She said "Yes" anyways and 25 years later I still have them both. At times my wife has referred to the truck as "The other woman" but she's come to tolerate her, once in a while the old truck will even allow to ride along with me.

I would think with the current housing market, an existing house would be a lot cheaper than building one. Buy one, and when the housing market recovers, sell it, then build a new one. Meanwhile keep the F1, it don't talk back..... as much. Have a kid together, and you can cancel all bets, lol.
