A little rough

Ok so my 1974 f250 is running but running rough. Namely when idling, it will idle and try to quite. I'm thinking about doing a Seafoam treatment or a Gumout regane. Also my truck doesn't like to start until I pour some gas down the carb. If anbody know what might be wrong and how to fix it then that would be very helpful.

First thing to check is the carb mounting nuts. If the carb is loose, it will suck air under it and it won't idle right. If that isn't it, I'd check to make sure the fuel pump is putting out enough fuel volume and pressure.

Time to hook up a vacuum gauge. In terms of Seafoam treatment, you can't identify a solution without first identifying the problem.

Sounds like a bad accelerator pump in the carb for one issue, that might be why youre having to pour gas in it
