The Chinese role in the RV industry has been an interesting one with the manufacturers going back and forth about the role they should play in China. If you went to the first shows where the Chinese representatives were present to try to sell to US dealers, it was although no one was willing to speak with them.
Now one finds not only the Chinese, but also Indian companies becoming increasingly involved with the RV industry and the industry gradually warming to China. With the decreasing cost of labor in the United States, some manufacturers of components have pulled back to the United States.
My own impression of the Chinese campers was they were simply clones or they had purchased the rights to manufacturer products that were no longer made by American manufacturers (at least I optimistically hope they purchased the rights).
The national dealers show is coming up in October and the usual manufacturers show will be the end November and I will be interested to see how much progress is made with this "cross pollination" as I will be attending both of these.
Scary..that is all I have to say. Most of their stuff is of low quality.
Its bad enough we have to put up with Chinese tires, now the whole rig made by Chinese??!! Everything is moving to "throw away". Thats what I call Chinese made products, "throw aways". If your chinese made toaster goes bad, you don't repair it, you "throw away" and by another.
Get used to it. There are Chinese parts on many vehicle types. There is even a thriving market for Chinese made Hot Rod parts, including major engine components. Who'd a thunk, American "Mom and Apple Pie" hot rodders using chinese components??!!!
As an example, quite a few of the suspension components on my 1998 USA Made Prowler travel trailer have the "China" marking on them. I shudder, but so far none of the china parts has failed that I know of. Prowler is part of Fleetwood, one of the biggest manufacturers, at least a few years ago before the entire industry took a dump. So, I bet there are a lot of other name brands on the road with Chinese parts.

Most of the stuff I get was Chinese, but with cheaper American labor now many of the manufacturers have pulled back to the U.S.
