8.8" going back together

I've started putting my axle back together. I'm taking a chance with a slightly rough used axleshaft, but I think it'll be OK. The gears are RIGHT at the tight end of the specs for backlash, but I'm hoping that'll give me the longest wear before they get loose. My theory is that the powdercoat will make it easier to clean...

Powder coat chips to easy if you ask me....I'm a fan of enamal. I've been thinking about using spray on bedliner for my new axle...but i haven't decided yet.
