Alright, im a newish member, as in, I've lurked and now ive joined. Ive goyt a bronco ranger XLT and im redoing the whole thing on a budget. Its in alright shape, id post pictures if my POS android would let me. ill keep trying. its got the 351m I havent check the TC, but its married, and im thinking 205. its been a piece since i bought it for 800 and ive had it for 4 years. now im done with pieco and starting the redo. almost everything on the outside of the the engine is new, except the carb and dib. i just recently got the timing right, its got dents frome idiotic drivers hitting it, one whilst parked, on bothe front sides. rust below the gate, pinholes in the floor bords and the bottom back of the door is rusted out, wich is all getting fixed here soon. im looking for an unstcock stock look. stock outside but not in. im looking for some design/paint ideas. im thinging oarange white, blue white, or just one color. matching offroad racing seats. something with the floor, back Hbench. etc. (took stock backseat for the look. i have all the trim. All it needs is a starter now to run (wich went out yesterday, irritating very very irritating b/c each week is simething else. after this it should be good for the rest of its life unless the motor blows or trasnny shoots. Any ideas will be helpful, thanks.
The trucks are similar, but there are a lot of things that are different, so you will probably get better tech answers there too, although I didn't see any questions in your post. If you just want pictures of broncos I doubt you will find any here!
I say you go gray/blue urban camo with ranch hand style bumpers and some matching sliders with diamond plate on top. Then no one else will run into your bronco. simulated 15" bead locks painted gloss gray along with the sliders and bumpers. Go ahead and gray out the grille and paint the bars black to contrast. 35" fun country II's along with a 6" superflex lift from jbg. JBG also sells mounts to mount any of the seats they sell to the stock bronco mounts, and they have some pretty bad *** seats. I'd get one of their full cages and a soft top as well. Spray gray rhino liner on the tub while you have the interior apart.
Take the seats to an upholsterer and get them upholstered in gray with urban camo down the middle. Get a crosshair embroidered in the seat rest and the circle of the crosshair will be the O in "ZOMBIE KILLER"
All depends on what you want to do with it? Do you want it to be a show truck? Or a mud toy? Or somewhere in between. Any plans on lifting it? My truck is my daily driver right now and I take her to car shows weekly. She's by no means perfect, and I'm not afraid to get her a little dirty. I don't tear her up and go ***** out through everything, but I have conquered some ruts and mudholes in her. I have plans for paint and bodywork, but I still want to be able to have fun offroad with her...but it all depends on what you wanna do with her, good luck and keep us updated!
I want to keep it on the road more than the mud when im done. I went to mudfest the other day and got her dirty dirty. Not anymore though, its my daily driver. i toook her in the mud to get the want of mud out of it, now i want to redo her as more of a in between, show and daily driver. mainly something to get me from point A to B but have some fun and pride in my driving my little truck. I didnt see the full size bronco forum, but i really have no questions. I can usually get through any problems since there is only fuel and eletrical eith this year of truck, no computers or any of that junk. I would like a soft top, but only a small modest 3'' lift so im not leaning on every sharp turn. Im looking for a modest eye turner, not an amazing head turner, i have some aftermarket rims, XD knock off type, chrome on black. Ans the urban camo is a great idea, thanks. ive been looking at pictures for the past few days, and i havent seen any that pop, so im really just wanting some ideas to knock around in my head, merge all the ones i like into one design scheme.
