Ive got my bronco running excellent. Now Im wondering if I should shell out 3gs to get it painted and the body work done. I want a good looking truck. I plan to pust some 31's or 32's on it soon. Once I get my leafs and new coil springs next week it will be runnin good. Should I get new paint and the rust fixed?? any color suggestions what looks good on a bronco??
3 grand would get you a real nice body and paint job, something you could show off. Not like a 10 grand paint job, but real nice nonetheless.
On my 84, I chose a color called pewter silver. Its real nice. Once I post some pics, you can see for yourself. If I had to do it over again, I would use the pewter silver in the middle, and a dark grey on the top and bottom, similar to greystreak's old truck. Then again, ive been wondering how my Bronco woult look JET black.
If you want to keep it for a long time, you should do it. Thing is, nowadays most SUV are built to cater the yuppie and soccermom crowd, and even those built on a truck platform (i.e. Excursion) are very different from the Bronco. They are much more refined with respect to comfort and other amenities, but their tops doesn't come off, and I don't think they are as capable offroad, partly because they are fairly long. Unless the current Blazer is like the old one, you probably won't see a new car like a full size Bronco.
hockeyplurr I know its hard to hear but that truck is too rusty to repaint.
It will look good for a while but rust never sleeps.
Take your three grand and find a rust free Bronco.
Or a shell to swap with.
put your doe into the running gear look for rust free body parts.
I know rust been dealing with it for a long time.
a rusty bronco might not look good but when the snow flys it wont get stuck

does it really matter what everyone else thinks? do you love the bronco? everything can be fixed no matter how bad it is. just remember that a quality job that will last is not a cheap proposition. yes it is easier to find a rust free bronco and it is probably cheaper but only you know if it is worth it to you.
