I live in Ohio, ordered the springs from a shop bout 45 minutes from me in Mansfield Ohio. The shop is called Reindl springs. Here's the info: Reindl Spring Service Inc
250 Park Ave E
Mansfield, OH 44902-1849
(419) 524-3413
I installed the springs and blocks on both sides. Never did either job before so it was a learning experience for me.. Took me 4 hours (while drinkig beer) lol
You realize why the truck didn't sag........ You put the extra spring in up-side-down....
You're right on the line honestly. Any taller block in the back and I would say YES. H&S says anything block over 2" should have traction bars if tuned. I'm using 5" rear blocks and decided traction bars were cheaper than a new tranny or rearend.
It's something for you to consider but it more depends on driving style. I drive the **** outa mine most of the time, lots of axle wrap.
If you're easier on your truck then it won't be as much of an issue.
Dont forget to update your H&S tuner to the newest version (.20)
Let's see some pics of the new blocks/springs!
andrew, i just got my tuner and everything else delivered. how do you update to the newest version. and u also said something about an unlock code correct??
I totally agree, I installed and add a leaf in the back of my 2011 super duty several months ago and it is great. I actually think that it rides better. It lifted the rear approx 1.5 inches and hardly squats when hauling an 8000 lb trailer.

I completely agree. I actually do like the ride now a lot better loaded and unloaded then before I added the leaf
Just checked AMAZON... 150 delivered (w/Prime) for the Skyjacker piece (R3815). Claims a 2" lift.
I think General Spring was going to be 80+ dollars to ship.... so the Amazon item would be about 70.00 less (for me). Unsure if the quality is comparable or not ?
The reason I decided on the general springs are they are made to order, made specific for the truck and they have anti friction pads installed. I didn't want too much lift because I don't want to change my shocks right away. The leafs are exactly the same arch as the oem ones so it makes the ride firm not stiff. Pro comp has a 2 leaf per side add a leaf kit for like 175 plus shipping.

Do the general add a leafs require the spring pack to have to be taken apart or can you install them easily over the existing pack?
