I'm pretty new to this. I have a 64 F-100 and the shift pattern is so worn that it's octagon instead of a "H" pattern. I'm looking for rebuild info or a kit to repair it.
I was encouraged to switch it to a floor conversion & see a lot of trucks out there that have done so. I just hate to messed up a good floor & break away from the original set up. I appreciate any guidance & suggestions.
Hello Greg Welcome to the 57-60 Fridge forum.
I'm not sure how your 64 differs from our shifters but I do know that Dennis Carpenter and probably others offer shift selector bushings and rebuild parts for the shift selectors, which would probably correct your sloppy shift pattern and keep your floor intact.
Good luck in your quest!
Worst case it shouldn't be too hard to find a complete 3 speed to swap in. I know I have a spare and a lot of others on this forum probably do as well.
