Shudder question
If the torque converter is shuddering, should there be a spike or increase in transmission temp? I have a slight shudder on initial acceleration that I am trying to pin point. I have a larger tranny cooler and normally run about 155 to 160 degree transmission temps on an 85-90 degree day. It's possible the shudder could be coming from the injectors, as they are original and have 247,000 miles on them. What do you guys think? Or, do you have any other ideas?

it's the converter, my 94 idit does it, i keep the fluid changed more frequently ( every10k miles cheap insuranceLOL), added a really big cooler and a larger aluminum tranny pan. it doesn't matter it still does it sometimes just not as much or as bad.

Thanks guys. The tranny is Ford reman unit that only has 13000 miles. I will change the fluid. Do you guys think I should upgrade the converter or is there anything else that can be done to raise the clamping force?
