slip yoke

I have 1994 E150 2wd with a 6'' lift on it. My question is about the slip yoke .I have greased it about 3 weeks ago and it did stop the clunk but only for about a week. Is there anything I can do about this problem I hate that sound. I did notice that the yoke has moved out since the lift about 11/2 inches is this normal and if not can you tell me the fix.

stop the clunking

slip yoke

The reason for the slip yoke is so that when the rear wheels (axle) go up and down the yoke can slip in and out and compensate for the change in length. The further out the yoke slips, the looser it gets. You probably just have a couple of inches of the yoke making contact with the splines on the output shaft and if the rear axle drops down to its limit you stand a chance of the yoke coming off or binding and damaging the yoke or output shaft. The only way to correct it is to lengthen the driveshaft, but not too long or it will bottom out on full spring compression.
