I have a 48 f1 that I was going to go with carb setup at first then change to injection (wanted to just get it going) after several obstacles I just decided to do it right the 1st time.
I want to go with Injection and AODE trans. Have seen several after market Injection systems on CL for a good price but none will control the AODE trans. Not been able to find a good doner to get a comple system.
Salavage yard in my area want to charge way to much just the parts needed to make the swap
dont really want to use 2 controllers one for Injection and one for the tranny.
That would be fine. The HO 5.0 & 5.8 share the same firing order and same injector sequence. You can visit the 87-96 forum for help & search info. Mass air & repining factory harnesses are quite common there.
If you can't source the needed harness from a mustang, you might (I stress might) be able to alter/re-purpose a 5.0/E4OD truck harness.
Apples and oranges here, but I am running a professional Products powerjection III system (that has it's own computer on the side of the unit) and a Baumann trans controller on my AODE in my 68 Mustang with a 302....seems to be a good combo.

I bought an 88 Lincoln Town Car as a donor, paid $500.00 for it. It has 60,000 miles on a 5L / Aod. It has every thing I need. IMO, thats the way to go.

Howdy,
I am doing a similar thing installing a 292 Y-block + E4OD transmission in my 55 F-600.
I also have a Baumann Electronic Controls controller. (but I'll be using a Holley 4150 carb with TPS)
