please help!

i have a complete 5.0l engine from a mustang including the fuel injection with the wireing harness it came from a late 90's car will this work good in a 86 truck and want AOD TRANS what computer will i need one from a truck or a car and which trans is the best to use. or change it to a carb and just use a computer to comtrol the trans

Exactly what year is the 5.0? Was the car a 5-speed or auto? I think 86-93 used a standard AOD and the 94-95 used an AOD-E.
What trans does the truck have now?
