I buy from CRL quite often, you got a crazy great deal on your side windows! FleaBay is a great source of a lot of things---I know from personal experience!

How was this chassis outfitted before your ownership? Ambulance or something similar?

Ambulance....nice package with dual hi cap alternators, HD cooling, outputs at rear of cab for A/C and heat, dual batteries, auto idle module, and of course full power...cruise and tilt.

Great start.

So what became of the ambulance body?

I've seen a few in the salvage yards and thought they'd make a great work truck box, especially for their asking prices.

I would LOVE to make a Dump out of one of those...with a Smaller cab back than you are currently using like 30 inches or so and no windows ....would be perfect ....Hard to find up here..the's a guy who sells them but all together...I would like to get just the Cab /Chassis like you did and go form there....There was a guy selling them on Ebay a while back but not lately....

What size are your windows? My chassis is 176" WB so it looks like I will need the 42" cab back and the 20" extension.
