Typical engineer...was reading a lot of threads about relocating the USB port into the center console so that my iPod would be in a secure location when it hit me to test the lock. I locked the center console, then proceeded to pull up on the latch and by pulling a little to the left instead of straight up, POP, up came the locked console...Nothing broke, just lock was able to slide out of it's slot with not too much force. Don't trust the console anymore than I do the unlocked glove compartment.

Good to know, I always use this to store and lock up my goodies while I'm in the city.
