Hey i am new to forums, not a clue how to even check this add when i sign back in but ...
i need to remove my dpf asap and i would like to know which kits (exhaust delete and programers) are good or bad. any help will be great! im gettin 7.6 mpg pulling a 7x14 trailer...sucks
T.Ose - call the guys at River City Diesel or Elite Diesel Engineering and they will take care of you with a package fitted to your needs. As far as tuners go, I have always gone with the best support and service when venturing down this road. Spartan has gone above and beyond in my opinion in all categories. They are focused solely on PSD.
Thanks for the info. How about the Edge CS or CTS do you know if the have the DPF delete?
Thanks Again
I think (but not sure) the CTS was available in the racing version. There is a tune shop in fort lauderdale florida that was advertising new Edges as recently as a couple months ago. If I run across their name I'll add it. You might also check ebay. The key word is "racing" if you want to delete. Try ebay under f250 or 350 and look for "dpf delete" that should get you every tuner and custom tuner there is.

OK David here you go. DPF racing.com is advertising a CTS Edge Racing Evolution. they are at 1 954 720 8600. You should be able to negoiate a good price as these are discontinued by Edge. good luck.
Not trying to hijack but what kind of MPG increase will I see if I were to do this? I had 1 guy tell me he's getting 28MPG, I kinda said sure whatever.... I get about 10.5 towing, and would like to see around 13 or 14 towing...

It depends on what rear axle and how you drive but I got about 15 to 20% increase. Got me up to 10 towing from around 8 to 8.5. I'm towing a very heavy trailer with a 4.30 rear axle.

There is a guy to go on the ignore everything he says list.
10.5 towing isn't bad, is that the lie o meter or actually hand calc?
I've read pretty much every post on this forum for over 3 years and there are some claims that are just stupid but most folks when they check the mileage after tuning get a 10 to 20% increase. Some of the 9s and 10s with the 3.31 axles might do better but not much. This motor just uses a lot of fuel compared to the 6L and the 7.3L even when deleted and with expanded exhaust and intake. That's pretty much all there is to it.
So I use a 3 step plan to combat the problem
1. Never ever look at the numbers on the pump, just look at the fuel spout.
2. never ever look at the reciept, just tear it off and hand to wifey or stuff in your pocket.
3. If anyone ask about fuel mileage just look down your nose at them and tell them if they have to worry about mileage they should look into a Ford ranger.
SCT live wire with Innovative tunes is a great way to go, innovative tunes are among the best out there I believe and I have been through a lot of tuners on my truck ( Spartan, KEM, H&S) I have them on my 6.0 to and they are awesome!

I think the OP was interested in a LOW COST tuner. Mine is a used Edge for $350.00. Hard to get much lower cost than that.
