Overheating-bad water pump?
Im not familiar with the engine fan on the rangers *sorry* but why not put a universal one on it? Might be metal blades, but if it has the same number, diameter and pitch, whats the problem? These are avail at Advance auto, autozone, Oreilly Autoparts.. You get the idea. Ive got one on my truck and no problems with it. just a thought.
Another thought if you are intent on replacing plastic with plastic...call ford dealer. Some things areant as expensive as youd think.

Overheating-bad water pump?
I am once again reminded of my fond memories of working in a radiator shop. I was told then to be very careful of fans, especailly flex fans as they have been known to come apart and cause great injury. Rumor was my predecsssor was hit in body with a fan blade as he reached over the radiator speed up the engine by grabbing the linkage. Since I was 17 years old at the time, they may have been pulling my leg - but the lesson took. Take whatever you want from this story, but I never put myself in the potential path of a errant fan blade.
