Radiator Replacement

Okay,

Would like your thoughts, experiences on whether or not to rebuild the radiator or replace it.

If replace, where's the best place to get them and hoses.... that fit!

Thanks

1970 F100 w/240 and A/C

Radiators are not an expensive item, pretty easy to find at local parts houses. I have successfully used the Modine brand for 40 years, not saying they are the best, but have served me well. Hoses shouldn't be a problem either at your favorite parts house.

I would bet the fact it's a 240 6 banger would probably throw the parts guy in a loop as to the proper radiator. Maybe it's the same as 302 model? Still should not be a big deal to get a new one. Last one I got was about $150 for FE powered truck. Not worth rebuilding, unless you have connections.

Premolded hoses might also be kinda hens teeth for that set up too? Might get stuck with flexible versions? There again, I think it's a rare model, as I've never once seen/heard of one. Not that I'm anybody.
