Since I do 10k intervals and my F450 works very hard, I picked up extended service Fram filters from Walmart.
Unfortunately there is no way I can test filters on my vehicles, so I have to depend on manufacturer word.
For me calculation is easy. 10,000 miles cost me about $4000 in fuel, so saving, or loosing $20 on oil change materials is really peanuts. I pick up the most expensive filter I can find at Walmart.
