So I was clearing trees and brush and decided to run my truck down a hill, through the creek bed and up the other side. Sounds simple, and should have been, except for the tree that was down on the edge. Wheels slipped a little and I sent the passenger headlight into the downed tree, denting the fender while I was at it. I figure I may as well get a brighter headlight while I was replacing one, so anyone have a suggestion?
New headlight housings will not make it significantly brighter. The clear 02 - 04 headlights will help some, as will the 05-07 lights (but those require modification to the header panel and bulb adapters).
What you need for brighter is better bulbs. Silverstar Ultra's are a nice upgrade in the stock or clear housing. Otherwise, look into an HID kit.

I have to disagree.
I went from the "brighter" bulbs (HELLA XENON, which were brighter than stock) to stock bulbs in the 2005 headlights, and the end result is brighter light output, or more likely, better directed light output.
