1994 f350 efi 460

just bought my first truck. its a 94 f350 crew cab with the efi 460. i dont live far from work so im not worried about gas milage and i wanted a big truck so i got it. it has a few little problem like the front fuel pump doesnt work. the rear windows dont roll down and the driver rear door doesnt lock. but it pulls strong and sounds mean. im thinking of doing the mass air swap and maybe turbo/supercharger. any tips or hints would be helpful. i may lift it even though its not a 4x4

Welcome to FTE! Sounds like you have a nice ride. Post some pics so we can all drool.

As far as your comment to swap to MAF......if your truck is stock there is very little or nothing to gain except for lightening your wallet. If you go the turbo route you will have to build a custom system, nothing off the shelf. There still may be a few supercharger kits out there, but they will be hard to come by. If you keep the cam LSA conservative you can also get by with Speed density and a custom tune with a turbo or blower. Do a little research then pick your parts accordingly.

Brad has a blower on the truck in the photo he posted. There was a thread on here and the 460 Forum where the OP, he runs his own shop, ported the factory EFI heads and installed a little larger valves. He posted the flow numbers of before and after porting. Then he also posted up before and after dyno charts of the rear wheel power gains. The results were amazing. Sadly the thread has grown stale, the OP never responded much after the project was completed. I think OP used the screen name Boport.

Im new to this site too and have learned sooo much about Ford engines!

If your lookin to save some cash then some of the easiest upgrades to our 460s are the distributor recurve, timing chain swap to a "0/0" and the 6 liter swap. Look it up, theyre all popular upgrades lol

what kind of blower? i figure a supercharger would be a easier install than a turbo.

Don't worry about your timing chain, as you already have the 'straight up' timing set in your EFI 460.

Here is the link that Ria was referring to about the heads

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ts-are-in.html

If you're not dead set on forced induction, a quick google search will net you more than a few combos will give you a good boost in power.

Id personally go with turbo if your set on forced induction. You dont lose power tryin to gain power if that makes sense. Turbos are free power! Except the initial $5000 lol

I have a Vortech Supercharger on my truck Unfortunately, they are no longer made.

I also have Banks Torque Tubes, BBK throttle body, Taylor wires, MSD cap/Rotor, Banks ram air intake, 3" custom exhaust.

One day I want to pull the heads and port them and the intake
