Well, I replaced the air pump and that noise went away but now I have a quieter squeak that must have been covered up by the old air pump. I haven't narrowed it down yet but its definitely coming from the front. It only squeaks when at idle or when I let off the gas, never during acceleration. Any ideas? Maybe a u-joint?
Also, and I hope this isn't the case...when I replaced my oil pan gasket, I didn't pull the engine. I propped it up with some jackstands and a 2x4. This wouldn't have bent something like the fan or drive would it? I hope not.
Thanks.
Idler pulley squeals on my '92 every time the humidity level gets above about 50%. But ONLY at idle. I just deal with it because there is nothing wrong with the tension or anything.
