What year and options?
when does it happen?
What have you tried?
Almost sounds like the power saver relay is having
a bad day.
Do you have the delay off feature till door open or time out option?
Could also be a bad ignition switch.

Lol.... good luck! I have one of my own and still can't figure it out. Sounds like some of the wiring harnesses on these trucks are prone to chaffing and shorting out but how a guy can tell which one is beyond me. Yours however sounds like a problem related to the ignition/steering column. Maybe next time you have the glitch, try moving your tilt up and down and see if it affects it at all. Older vehicles used to get the wiring cracked in the columns from using the tilt. Also if you notice it gets better when you cycle the ignition on/off that would also be a good indicator.

Turn on the headlights. That seems so solve odd intermittent electrical things too. Done it twice to fix the auto climate control when it didn't want to run.

Sorry about not getting back. Things went crazy here. Not truck related.
Lets see if I under stand this.
It all goes dark (no lights, stereo, windows ect) It does this when ever it wants to.
I don't have the 05 wiring diagrams. I do have 06 and it may help to get an
idea on where to look for the relay that controls that power.

One thing to check in the power boxes would be to see if all the relays are seated
and don't look like they have gotten hot.
Also try moving the steering wheel up and down to see if anything changes.

My thoughts are that it is going to be one of these
1 damaged wire
2 bad ignition switch
3 bad relay

If anyone has an 05 wiring diagram some input would be helpful.

Ok more questions
Crew cab or regular cab?

I looked at the 06 electrical diagram I hope that the 05 & 06 are wired the same.
The CJB is in the cab driver side left knee
and came up with ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY
in the CJB socket C2075 center row
3rd relay from top there are only 3 in that row and the top one is not used that is the accessory delay relay
FYI the top right relay is the starter relay
That relay should click when you turn the key on and after you turn it off and open the door.

Check this and let me know how things are going.

Thank you -Berrick, Curt 5, Misky, and Yahiko!
No worries Yahiko life has got me by the ***** somthin fierce..

Ok Recap
The whole dash works, but...
The radio, power windows, map lights, visor mirror lights, and the rear back up sensor started acting up. Everything else works, Incl both dome lights. A long time ago I dont believe related the rear power slider window stopped working.
This is the longest it has been out, 4 or 5 days. If it is a relay, it might have pooped out.
I'll check other stuff a.d get back.
Thank you so much. No rush.

And a Halpy Fathers Day to all.

I have not looked to see but if that relay is a more wallet friendly one
you could get one and try it. Also you may want to pull it out anyway
and have a look at it's terminals and bench test it
You will need a meter and 12 volts
You put 12+ to pin 30
then ground pin 85
meter on pins 86 87 in ohms should be open and then closed
in other words you should not see any ohms(like holding the probes in the air) one way and you should see a very small or 0.00 ohms the other way. Most likely will not be a true 0.00 ohms but more like less that 2.00Ohms

When mine did this, the cause was a shorted out light socket in the running board lights...
